Welcome to University Life Centers at the Iowa Memorial Union.  The Iowa Memorial Union (IMU) offers a wide variety of services under one roof.  Hundreds of students, faculty, and staff visit the IMU every day, making it the town square of campus.

Our goal is to be a place where you can enjoy spending time while on campus.  Whether you’re a student or parent, faculty member or business professional, alumni or community member, I encourage you to take advantage of all the IMU has to offer:

• Get involved with one of the 600 student organizations overseen by The Office of Student Life.
• Purchase your textbooks and apparel at the University Book Stores and Hawk Shops or shop their online store.
• Stay comfortably in the Iowa House Hotel, where you’ll have easy access to all on-campus events.  
• Find out everything you need to know at the Campus Information Center, your guide to general information, referral and the University Master Calendar of Events.  
• Reserve one of our meeting rooms or ballrooms for your upcoming events.  
• Join our almost 700 University Life Centers student employees, with positions ranging from catering to retail sales to office work.
• Purchase tickets or use the fax machine at the University Box Office.  
• Enjoy a quick snack or a delicious meal from any of our food service operations both in the IMU and in a variety of other on-campus locations.  
• Meet your friends for coffee and study into the early morning hours; we're open late for midterms and finals.
