The Iowa Memorial Union is situated along the shore of the scenic Iowa River. The Iowa House Hotel, River Room Cafeteria, and Sunporch are good places to view the river inside the building. The IMU is within walking distance of several local attractions, including downtown Iowa City, Hancher Auditorium, and the Old Capitol National Historic Landmark.
