The IMU River Amphitheater is the three tiered event space overlooking the Iowa River. This semi-circle venue features green spaces and limestone spaces that create natural seating areas for up to 500 people.

The Amphitheater is the perfect location for:

• Concerts
• Plays and performances
• Wedding Ceremonies

All reservations must go through the IMU Event Services Office. This space is free of charge for UI Student Organization and Departmental events. There is a $400 charge for University Guests. Click here to see the full policy for this space.

The IMU River Amphitheater is reserved on an “as is” condition. Requested set-ups such as chairs, tables, staging, sound, etc., are the responsibility of the user to arrange, most often with an external vendor. The IMU may assist with equipment needs by recommending external vendors or renting out limited items. This is to be arranged with an IMU Facility Coordinator.
