- Friday, Nov. 7th
Pick up Welcome Packet outside of the University Bookstore, on the Ground Floor of the Iowa Memorial Union between the hours of 2:00 PM and 8:00 PM. - Packet Includes: Gameday Breakfast tickets, Friday and Saturday night entertainment tickets, Family Weekend shirts (if ordered), Welcome & Information pamphlet, other helpful information and discount coupons.
The University Bookstore will have extended hours and remain open until 8:00 PM Friday. Use the discount coupon found in the Welcome Packet to shop for your Hawkeye gear!

Whether you are touring the museums or going to the game, join us for breakfast on Hubbard Park. Each family that registers for Family Weekend automatically gets three (3) tickets to the Gameday Breakfast. If you need additional tickets ($12 ea.), please order them when you register.
The UI Mom & Dad of the Year will be announced as part of the breakfast. Finally, during the event you & your family can have your picture taken with the giant, inflatable Herky, get your free (temporary) tattoo, and play traditional tailgating games Baggo or Ladder golf.
Breakfast will be served from 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM regardless of the time of kick-off for the Hawkeye Football Game. "The Pancake Man" will be serving pancakes hot off the griddle and may even challenge you to catch them in mid-air. Currently The "Pancake Man" holds the world record for the fastest pancake flipper. His special grills can dish out 96 pancakes every two minutes or up to 2,500 pancakes an hour! So if there is a line when you arrive, you won’t have to wait long!!!

- As an alternative to the football festivities, let us take you to the Amana Colonies, where you can learn about their history, visit the famous Woolen Mill and Furniture Shop, and browse in the many shops available in Main Amana. The University of Iowa Dance Marathon cordially invites you to a fundraising brunch on to support University of Iowa Children's Hospital. During the brunch students, staff, and patients will share their Dance Marathon stories and experiences. As one of the most successful student-run organizations on campus, Dance Marathon works to raise awareness and financial support for children and families treated with cancer. Since 1994 Dance Marathon has become one of the largest student philanthropies in the United States.
