Iowa House Hotel
Enjoy the convenient location of the Iowa House Hotel located inside of the Iowa Memorial Union. The IMU’s 95 room self-operating hotel offers many packages to suit the needs of all your overnight guests including discounted room blocks for wedding customers.
Choose from standard rooms, executive rooms, two-bedroom suites, king and queen suites, junior suites and more. Customers who book their wedding reception in the Main Lounge or Ballroom of the IMU will receive a complimentary bridal suite in the Iowa House Hotel (based on availability).

The Main Lounge is the perfect location for your wedding ceremony or reception of any size. The rental fee for the Main Lounge also includes the use of the IMU Sun Porch and the IMU North River Terrace.

International Ballroom
The spacious International Ballroom in the University of Iowa's Iowa Memorial Union with its gorgeous woodwork and stunning stage is a beautiful spot for your wedding reception or ceremony.
Booking your wedding in this venue comes with a variety of perks including: complimentary use of tables, chairs, and linens; one-on-one attention of an IMU Facility Coordinator to assist you with a customized room layout; setup and takedown labor; a wireless microphone for toasting; and customized lighting options.
Danforth Chapel at IMU
This charming 1950's non-denominational chapel adjacent to the Iowa Memorial Union and the beautiful Iowa River is perfect for an intimate wedding ceremony.
