MY IOWA: Multicultural and International Student Summit is an engaging summit for UI students designed to increase awareness and understanding of diversity and leadership on The University of Iowa campus. This program strenghthens relationships between and among domestic students of color, international students, and other historically underrepresented groups. Participants dialogue with University officials and engage in conversations to create a greater sense of empowerment and ownership as members of the University community. This year we will be looking at how you can best live The IOWA Challenge!
Everyone who attends MY IOWA will contribute to valuable discussions, assist in the development of goals surrounding The IOWA Challenge, and gain valuable leadership skills. The potential impact and influence you as a student leader can have on this campus are yet to be discovered-find out by participating in MY IOWA! This opportunity is FREE for all attendees.
MY IOWA will occur from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM on Saturday, February 25, 2012, in W401 PBB, Lunch will be provided. This year will also feature the highly interactive and hands-on NCBI Training. Registration deadline is February 20, 2012.
