The University of Iowa's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Resource Center (LGBTRC) and the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, and Allied Union (GLTBAU) are proud to present the first annual UI Trans Week November 16th-20th. This week of educational workshops, film screenings, discussions, and celebration will end with a candlelight vigil on the Pentacrest and a celebration for trans-identified people, allies, and interested folk on November 20th. Based on two true stories, "Julie & Julia" intertwines the lives of two women who, though separated by time and space, are both at loose ends until they discover that with the right combination of passion, fearlessness and butter, anything is possible.
Each year hundreds of artists from all over the Midwest and beyond compete to exhibit and sell their work at our nationally renowned Holiday Thieves' Art Market, an art show and sale. Artists at this show will exhibit and sell their original work in painting, ceramics, photography, woodworking, drawing, jewelry, fiber, metal, needlework, and much more. Admission to the show is free to the public in the Main Lounge, IMU.
