About OSL

Office of Student Life Staff

The Office of Student Life (OSL), located in the Iowa Memorial Union, provides diverse social, cultural, recreational and educational programs and activities for The University of Iowa community.

The OSL assists students and student organizations in designing, building, and maintaining educational environments that will enhance their personal growth and facilitate the attainment of their organizational purpose. Through its programs and services, the OSL is committed to assisting students in becoming a force for positive change in the community and the greater society.

Our Mission

The mission of the Office of Student Life is to provide educational, leadership, and social opportunities for the greater University community, with a primary focus on students. Our staff works with, through, and for students and student organizations, and in conjunction with other University and community partners, to enhance the holistic development of students and their academic and co-curricular experiences.
