The Student Leadership Development Conference is an annual event coordinated by the Office of Student Life and the University of Iowa Student Government. The one-day conference strives to foster leadership development for all students. A variety of general sessions, the majority of which are student facilitated, are offered to provide students the opportunity to learn about numerous leadership topics. General session topics include, but are not limited to, running effective meetings, event planning, recruiting and retaining members, leadership styles and typology, team building, officer training, and time management.
The Student Leadership Development Conference provides opportunities for students to:
-Explore different approaches to leadership
-Gain new leadership skills
-Improve existing leadership skills
-Network with other student leaders
-Facilitate breakout sessions
-Receive recognition for campus leadership

Please submit a Call for Programs form by 5:00pm on Friday, February 8, 2008

The conference will begin with an opening keynote speaker. The annual keynote speaker is a distinguished leader, interested in sharing his/her experience and expertise.
