The Office of Student Life plays a key role in many major annual events on The University of Iowa campus.

  • 10,000 Hours Show

    "10K" seeks to foster civic engagement by rewarding a community's volunteers with a concert, for which the only admission is volunteer service. Contact Kelley Ashby
  • Celebrating Cultural Diversity Festival

    This campus festival brings together hundreds each spring to learn about various cultures through food, crafts, personal interaction and education. Contact Jennifer Richman
  • Dance Marathon

    The largest student-run philanthropy west of the Mississippi, the UI Dance Marathon provides emotional and financial support to children & families at the UI Hospitals & Clinics, with an emphasis on the oncology division. Contact Kelley Ashby
  • Family Weekend

    Offers various activities and events for UI families to enjoy on a fall football weekend. Contact Kristi Finger
  • Homecoming

    This long-standing Iowa tradition occurs in the fall semester and is planned by the student-run Homecoming Council. Contact Jennifer Richman
  • MLK Jr/Human Rights Week

    Human Rights Week begins with a community convocation held on the MLK holiday, and continues with an engaging week of lectures, presentations, performances and potlucks. Contact Carlos Serrato
  • RiverFest

    An long-standing celebration held one weekend each spring with music, food, and fun along the Iowa River. Contact Kristi Finger
  • RiverRun

    A 5K & 10K run, walk and wheelchair race along the beautiful Iowa River held the Sunday morning of RiverFest. Contact Jennifer Richman
  • Welcome Week
