Cash Bar:Set-up Fee for a Bar is $100 minimum per bar for the first hour and $25 for every additional hour. The set-up fee is waived if sales exceed the set-up fee amount Additional labor will be billed for events held outside the Iowa Memorial Union. Six hours is the maximum length of service for alcohol on The University of Iowa Grounds.Additional Liquor Policies:The University of Iowa and state law stipulates that the Iowa Memorial Union must be the sole provider of alcoholic beverages served or consumed within the Iowa Memorial Union or anywhere on The University of Iowa campus. Under no circumstances may any alcoholic beverage be taken out of designated service areas. An appropriate food order must accompany all events with alcoholic beverages service. Non-alcoholic beverages must be offered at every event. The Iowa Memorial Union reserves the right to control all events by requiring additional security at the user’s expense. Service may also be limited or terminated at any point during the event at the discretion of the Manager on Duty. |
