The Iowa Memorial Union offers comprehensive services to make your wedding planning experience easy. We have many locations and excellent catering that can accomodate any size group and budget. The Iowa Memorial Union has two elegant ballrooms and several other remarkable rooms to accommodate wedding parties of all sizes. Our creative award-winning chefs will help plan a unique menu especially for you. So sit back, relax and let our experienced staff help take some stress off your special day.

Locations

The Iowa Memorial Union has all the facilities and services to make your wedding a success. Our eighteen meeting rooms and two ballrooms can accommodate everything from small groups to large dinners. The University also offers locations such as the Paul W. Brechler Press Box overlooking historic Kinnick stadium, the University Athletic Club, Old Brick Auditorium and the Danforth Chapel.  Dance floor, audiovisual equipment, DJ table, professional staff and more is available to help make your wedding everything you expect it to be.

Catering

IMU catering is dedicated to providing the highest quality food, planning and service especially for you. Whether your party is 7 or 700 heads deep, our award-winning chefs pay special attention to every detail making your meal exactly the way you want. Our catering services provide featured menus, or customize a menu of your choice. We have many options to satisfy a variety of taste buds including vegetarian meals.

Iowa House Hotel

Enjoy the convenient location of the Iowa House Hotel on the Iowa River in downtown Iowa City. The Iowa Memorial Union’s 95 room self-operating hotel offers many packages to suit the needs of all your overnight guests. Choose from standard rooms, executive rooms, two-bedroom suites, king and queen suites, junior suites and more. Amenities include free parking and continental breakfast, shuttle service, and other options depending on the package.
