The Hawk Shop Café and Market is connected to the Iowa Hawk Shop bookstore in the ground floor of the IMU and sells everything from snacks to toiletries and includes a Starbucks.

Old Gold Creamery is located at the south end of the IMU ground floor, just downstairs from the Hubbard Park entrance to the IMU. Several flavors of Heyn's ice cream are available in a variety of sizes or cones.
