The Office of the Dean of Students provides key programs and services that support student success and is comprised of ten units.
Services Offered
The freedom you’ll have in college comes with many choices and responsibilities. Your success is impacted by your personal choices, but it can also be affected by other concerns, often unanticipated.
Student Care and Assistance is a central program available to assist you throughout your collegiate career. Student Care and Assistance focuses on providing support to students if a situation arises that may affect their ability to be successful at the university, such as hospitalization and medical illnesses requiring extended time away from classes, mental health concerns, family issues or simply navigating a new environment.
The Office of Student Accountability meets with students when they experience the negative outcomes of their actions, specifically regarding violations of the Code of Student Life. All students agree to abide by all university policies, including the Code of Student Life, upon accepting their enrollment at the university. In meeting with students, Student Accountability staff members will discuss the choices made and will serve as a support for students as they overcome obstacles.
