The IMU is offering alternative dining options during renovation to ensure convenient access to food service. Union Station has closed effective March 13, 2026. Permanent dining options are scheduled to return to the IMU in August 2027.

Hawk Shop Café and Market
The Hawk Shop Café and Market is connected to the Iowa Hawk Shop bookstore on Ground Floor of the IMU and remains open during renovation! Find snacks, toiletries, and Starbucks here, along with expanded offerings including:
- Ramen station
- Chicken strips
- Mac and cheese
- Fries
- Bosco sticks
- and more!
Food trucks
The IMU will have a variety of food trucks available in Hubbard Park on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Chick-fil-A at the IMU
Chick-fil-A is now serving a limited menu in the Iowa Memorial Union (IMU) during the renovation project! Visit their pop-up location Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to grab freshly made favorites!
Menu options include:
- Chicken sandwich
- Spicy chicken sandwich
- Chips
- Cookies
- Bottled soda: Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, Dasani
