Hawkeye Distinguished Veterans Awards Ceremony

Established in 2015, the Hawkeye Distinguished Veterans Award honors members of the armed forces who have demonstrated exceptional service to the United States, their communities, and our university. Recipients for the Hawkeye Distinguished Veterans Award are selected annually.

The 2022 Hawkeye Distinguished Veterans Award Ceremony will be held on Thursday, November 10, 5:30 PM, IMU Main Lounge.

Award nomination process

The nomination process for the 2022 Hawkeye Distinguished Veterans Award (HDVA) has closed. The award recipients or their families and their nominators will be notified of their selection on or around September 15, 2022. The nomination process for the 2023 HDVA will begin on June 1, 2023. Please check back at that time.
