Online Reservation Instructions
IMU Event Services uses an online reservation system called Mazevo. Mazevo can be used by registered UI student organizations and university departments to reserve free IMU and campus outdoor spaces.
Mazevo's online reservation system can be used to make free reservations for:
- IMU meeting rooms
- Indoor and outdoor information tables
- Outdoor space reservations
- Student organizations can also reserve Danforth Chapel on the Mazevo website.
Note: You are not able to reserve fee spaces (Main Lounge, International Ballroom, Black Box Theater, North Room, or South Room) through Mazevo. For details on reserving those spaces, please visit the Reservations page.
If you haven't used Mazevo before, you can request an account here:
Members of registered UI student organizations and departments can use the Mazevo reservation system to request free spaces via the Mazevo website or mobile app. In order to make reservation requests online, you must first have an account to log on to Mazevo's system.
- To sign up for a Mazevo Requester account, click the blue REQUEST ACCOUNT button under the IOWA logo on Mazevo's website (uiowa.mymazevo.com).
- Please give the Event Services Office about (3) business days to process your pending account before you can make reservation requests.
- You will be notified via email when your account is approved and we will share any further steps you need to take.
- You will also receive an email from Mazevo regarding a link to set your account password. The link expires 24 hours after the email is sent. The email may go to your spam folder, so please be aware of this.
University guests:
University guests should email imu-eventservices@uiowa.edu or call 319-335-3114 to reserve spaces.
About Mazevo
Mazevo (mah-zay-voe) is Greek for "gather"! We highly encourage you to familiarize yourself with the Mazevo request process. Please refer to the Online Reservation Booking Rules section for the number of days in advance needed to request a space online.

Online reservation booking rules
Depending on which space(s) you are requesting and depending on whether you are with a student organization or department, there are different rules for each type of reservation request. Please review the table below for booking rules.
If your request is outside of those parameters, please contact the IMU Event Services office at imu-eventservices@uiowa.edu or 319-335-3114 so we can determine if we can accommodate your request.
Only the spaces listed below are able to be requested through Mazevo. Please visit the Reservations page to learn more about how to reserve the spaces not listed below.
